Colchagua (place of small ponds)
We are delighted to present Colchagua Valley, its ancient indigenes history, the first pre-Hispanic irrigation channels, the development of the estate“haciendas” with their large extensions, ideal for agriculture and traditional family life of the upper classes. Some of these spectacular mansions are now idyllic vineyards, where you can discover and enjoy their extraordinary and famous wines. The wonderful climates of this area, the hard work and investment of the producers have transformed Colchagua into the most visited wine valleys of country.
We visit and discover two of the most prominent traditional houses, their gardens, wineries, museums, family collections and certainly the most important the excellent taste of their fabulous wines. We also enjoy a delicious and relaxing lunch at one of the best restaurants in the valley.
Late afternoon and after this magnificent day we return to Santiago, travelling across the green and vast agricultural valleys we found when we began our journey towards the south of our capital.
